MEETING WAS CALLED TO ORDER AT 6 PM BY SUPERVISOR JIM MAZUR, BOARD MEMBERS PRESENT WERE CLERK BARB EGELER, TRUSTEE JEROME PAPES, TREASURER PATTI GEERS, TRUSTEE BOB KESLING, WE HAD 4 GUESTS ATTEND. MINUTES WERE APPROVED AS PRESENTED. SHERIFFS REPORT WAS GIVEN BY SHERIFF KIM COLE. COUNTY COMMISSIONER REPORT GIVEN BY COUNTY COMMISSIONER JANET ANDERSEN. TREASURER REPORTED THAT THE MONEY MARKET FUND BALANCE ON 5/31/23 WAS $396,478.08, RECEIPTS FOR JUNE WERE $9,108.13, INTEREST WAS $49.73. DISBURSEMENTS WERE $10,431.26. LEAVING A BALANCE OF $395,204.68 ON 6/30/23. CHECKING ACCOUNT BALANCE REMAINS AT $300.00 ON 6/30/23. PERPETUAL CARE CERTIFICATE BALANCE REMAINS AT $62,821.14 ON 6/30/23. PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT FUND BALANCE ON 5/31/23 WAS $297,344.56, MI CLASS INTEREST WAS ADDED IN THE AMOUNT OF $4,922.94. LEAVING A BALANCE OF $302,267.50 ON 6/30/23. HALL RESERVATION FUND BALANCE ON 5/31/23 WAS $1,120.68, RECEIPTS OF $30.00, NO DISBURSEMENTS, INTEREST WAS .05cents. LEAVING A BALANCE OF $1,150.73 ON 6/30/23. TAX ACCOUNT BALANCE ON 5/31/23 WAS .00, AND REMAINS AT .00 ON 6/30/23. TREASURERS REPORT ACCEPTED AS PRESENTED. JEROME MADE A MOTION TO APPROVE PAYMENT OF JUNE BILLS, BOB SECONDED MOTION CARRIED. In compliance with MCL 168.720j, you are hereby informed of the details regarding the Precinct Canvas of Early Votes. The Precinct Canvas of Early Votes is the culmination of the 9 days of early voting and is when the board completes the tabulation of ballots and reports the results of the ballots cast during the Early Voting period.

Scrap tire clean up day
The Mason County Junk authority is hosting a scrap tire collection day September 28th. Hours will be from 9AM until Noon or until the trailer is filled. Victory Township is part of the Junk Authority and that allows us to participate in this event. They have secured a single semi-trailer this year and once its full the event is over. You are allowed to bring 4 tires for FREE and after that it is $3 per tire. Passenger vehicle tires only, no wheels, commercial, tractor, semi or industrial tires. Event to be held at the Mason County Road commission building in Scottville. There may be help on site but be patient or be prepared to unload your own tires and place them in the trailer.
