REGULAR BOARD MEETING
OCTOBER 4, 2021 (PROPOSED MINUTES)
MEETING WAS CALLED TO ORDER AT 6 PM BY SUPRVISOR JIM MAZUR, BOARD MEMBERS PRESENT WERE CLERK BARBARA EGELER, TRUSTEE BOB KESLING, TRUSTEE JEROME PAPES, AND TREASURER PATTI GEERS, WE HAD 11 GUEST ATTEND. MINUTES WERE APPROVED AS PRESENTED. JEROME MADE A MOTION TO APPROVE PAYMENT OF BILLS. BOB SECONDED MOTION CARRIED COUNTY COMMISSIONER JANET ANDERSEN GAVE THE COUNTY REPORT. SHERIFF KIM COLE GAVE THE SHERIFFS REPORT. THERE WAS A TOWNSHIP RESIDENT THAT HAD CALLED THE CLERK COMPLAING ABOUT A NOISE AND HARRASSMENT COMPLAINT OF HIS NEIGHBORS. THE CLERK TOLD HIM THAT THE SHERIFF COMES TO MOST ALL MEETINGS, THAT THERE WAS NOTHING THE TOWNSHIP BOARD COULD REALLY DO ABOUT IT. AFTER SOME CALLING AROUND, AND TRYING TO GET THIS RESOLVED, THE CLERK FOUND THE OTHER PARTY, AND TOLD THEM TO ALSO COME TO THE MEETING AND TALK TO THE SHERIFF AND TRY TO GET THE ISSUES RESOLVED CALMLY BETWEEN THE PARTIES INVOLVED. TREASURER REPORTED THAT THE MONEY MARKET FUND BALANCE ON 8/31/21 WAS $244,787.88, RECEIPTS FOR SEPTEMBER WERE $26,767.90, DISBURSEMENTS WERE $16,584.90. LEAVING A BALANCE OF $255,001.57 ON 9/30/21. CHECKING ACCOUNT BALANCE REMAINS AT $300.00 ON 9/30/21. PERPETUAL CARE CERTIFICATE BALANCE REMAINS AT $62,821.14 ON 9/30/21. PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT FUND BALANCE REMAINS AT $232,007.31 ON 9/30/21. HALL RESERVATION FUND BALANCE ON 8/31/21 WAS $1,119.70 INTEREST WAS .05 cents , LEAVING A BALANCE OF $1,119.75 ON 9/30/21. TAX ACCOUNT BALANCE ON 8/31/21 WAS $68,111.30, RECEIPTS FOR SEPTEMBER WERE $339,020.63, DISBURSEMENTS WERE $296,219.78, INTEREST WAS $7.26. LEAVING A BALANCE OF $110,919.41 ON 9/30/21. TREASURERS REPORT ACCEPTED AS PRESENTED. SUPERVISOR MET WITH JERY KASS WITH MASON LAKE SOIL CONSERVATION, AND DISCUSSED THE BEACH GRASS PLANTING AT THE GORDON ROAD TOWNSHIP PROPERY. TRUSTEE BOB KESLING IS HOLDING A TOWNSHIP COMMUNITY APPLE CIDER PRESSING DEMO AT THE TOWNHALL ON 10/9/21 AT 10:00 AM TO 1 PM. JIM REPORTED THAT RUSS SCHOLTENS HAS BEEN IN CONTACT WITH JERRY KASS ABOUT THE BIKE TRAILS AT VICTORY PARK. JEROME MADE A MOTION TO MAKE AN OFFER OF $10,000.00 FOR TWO ACRES OF PROPERTY THAT IS ADJACENT TO THE TOWNHALL FOR FUTURE EXPANSION PURPOSES. BOB SECONDED MOTION CARRIED. MOTION TO ADJOURN AT 7:05 PM
