SPECIAL MEETING

(PROPOSED MINUTES)

 

SPECIAL MEETING CALLED TO ORDER AT 6PM FOR THE PURPOSE OF LETTING THE PUBLIC KNOW THAT THE TOWNSHIP IS CONSIDERING SELLING THE TOWNSHIP PROPERTY LOCATED ON ANDERSEN AND GROTH ROADS.  AND, TO GET ANY INPUT FROM THE PUBLIC.  TRUSTEE BOB KESLING HAS SPENT A LOT OF TIME GETTING ALL THE PAPER WORK IN ORDER FOR DOING THIS SALE.

WE HAD 13 PEOPLE ATTEND, 12 LETTERS WERE SENT OUT TO THE ADJACENT PROPERTY OWNERS THREE WEEKS PRIOR TO THE MEETING, AND A NOTICE WAS PUBLISHED IN THE PAPER TWICE.  AFTER BOB EXPLAINED ALL THE LEGAL STEPS TAKEN, AND THE REASON  TO PUT THE PROPERTY UP FOR SALE, THE MEETING WAS OPEN FOR PUBLIC COMMENT.  NO ONE OBJECTED TO THE SALE OF THE PROPERTY, THEY MORE OR LESS JUST WANTED TO KNOW HOW WE WERE GOING TO SELL IT, WE SAID THAT WE WOULD BE GOING THROUGH A REALTOR TO MAKE SURE EVERYONE HAD AN EQUAL  CHANCE TO MAKE AN OFFER.  THERE WASN’T A LOT OF COMMENTS.  BOB MADE A MOTION TO ADJOURN THE MEETING AT 6:22 PM

REGULAR BOARD MEETING

NOVEMBER 1, 2021

MEETING WAS CALLED TO ORDER AT 6:23 BY CLERK BARBARA EGELER, SUPERVISOR JIM MAZUR WAS ABSENT.  BOARD MEMBERS PRESENT WERE TRUSTEE BOB KESLING, TRUSTEE JEROME PAPES, TREASURER PATTI GEERS, WE HAD 5 GUEST ATTEND.

MINUTES WERE APPROVED AS PRESENTED.

THERE WAS NO SHERIFFS REPORT.

COUNTY COMMISSIONER JANET ANDERSEN GAVE THE COUNTY REPORT.  THEY APPROVED THE COUNTIES 15 MILLION    DOLLAR BUDGET.  THEY ADOPTED AMENDMENT TO SOLAR ORDINANCE.

JEROME MADE A MOTION TO APPROVE PAYMENT OF BILLS,  BOB SECONED

MOTION CARRIED

TREASURER REPORTED THAT THE MONEY MARKET FUND BALANCE ON 9/30/21 WAS $255,001.57, RECEIPTS FOR          OCTOBER WERE $26,733.00, INTEREST WAS $32.73, DISBURSEMENTS WERE $32,828.25  LEAVING A BALANCE OF $248,939.05 ON    10/31/21.

CHECKING ACCOUNT BALANCE REMAINS AT $300.00 ON 10/31/21.

PERPETUAL CARE CERTIFICATE BALANCE REMAINS AT $62,821.14 ON 10/31/21.

PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT FUND BALANCE REMAINS AT $232,007.31 ON 10/31/21.

HALL RESERVATION FUND BALANCE ON 9/30/21 WAS $1,119.75, THERE WERE NO RECEIPTS, NO DISBURSEMENTS, AND   INTEREST WAS .05 cents, LEAVING A BALANCE OF $1,119.80 ON 10/31/21.

TAX ACCOUNT BALANCE ON 9/30/21 WAS $110,919.41, RECEIPTS FOR OCTOBER WERE $4,168.51, DISBURSEMENTS WERE $102,669.37, THERE WAS NO INTEREST, LEAVING A BALANCE OF $12,418.55 ON 10/31/21.

TREASURERS REPORT ACCEPTED AS PRESENTED

CLERK READ SUPERVISORS REPORT, DON WILES TURNED OFF THE WATER AND BLEW OUT THE LINES AT BOTH                 CEMETERIES.  NO SEAL COAT THIS YEAR, WEATHER DIDN’T COOPERATE.  DOCK WAS PULLED OUT AT THE PARK BY JIM AND DON.   AND THERE WILL BE A CEREMONY AT VICTORY PARK AT THE MONUMENT COMMEMORATING THE VETERANS 100th YEAR HONORING THE TOMB OF THE UNKNOWN SOLDIER. ALSO, THERE WILL BE A WREATH LAYING HONORING THE 11 MILITARY SOLDIERS FROM VICTORY.

JIM HAD A F.O.I.A. REQUEST, (A COUPLE OF DAYS AFTER OUR LAST RESPONSE TO DEFENDANTS MOTION FOR SUMMARY DISPOSITION, IN COURT )   FROM AN INTERESTED PARTY OF THE LAW SUIT   “VICTORY PARK v SARTO”   HE REQUESTED THE TOTAL AMOUNT THE TOWNSHIP HAS HAD TO PAY IN FEES SINCE THIS LAW SUIT HAS STARTED.   AT THIS TIME IT IS $54,953.67,  THIS IS PUBLIC KNOWLEDGE.  BY THE WAY, THE DEFENDANTS MOTION WAS DENIED BY THE JUDGE AT THE COURT DATE ON     10/6/21.     THIS ALL STARTED IN LATE 2018 WHEN JIM NOTICED SOME TREES BEING CUT ACROSS THE LAKE FROM THE PARK, AND HE WASN’T SURE THAT THIS WASN’T PART OF VICTORY PARK.  SO, HE CAME TO THE BOARD ABOUT IT, AND IT WAS DECIDED TO HAVE THE PARK SURVEYED AGAIN.  THIS IS WHEN THE SURVEYORS FOUND THE BOATHOUSE ON VICTORY PARK PROPERTY, THIS BOATHOUSE CAN NOT BE SEEN FROM THE PARK, YOU HAVE TO BE ON THE LAKE AND GOING ALONG THE LAKE SHORE.
