REGULAR BOARD MEETING

APRIL 5, 2021

(PROPOSED MINUTES)

 

MEETING WAS CALLED TO ORDER BY SUPERVISOR JIM MAZUR.  ALL BOARD MEMBERS WERE PRESENT, CLERK BARBARA   EGELER, TRUSTEE JEROME PAPES, TREASURER PATTI GEERS, TRUSTEE BOB KESLING.  WE HAD SIX GUEST ATTEND.

MINUTES WERE APPROVED AS PRESENTED.

SHERIFFS REPORT WAS GIVEN BY SHERIFF KIM COLE.  WHEN KIM WAS FINISHED WITH HIS REPORT, HE INTRODUCED   BRIAN VANWYCK, WHOM HE HAS BEEN IN CONVERSATIONS WITH THE CIVIL PROBLEMS HE IS HAVING WITH A NEIGHBOR.  ZONING HAS BEEN GOTTEN IN TOUCH WITH OVER THIS MATTER, COURT SYSTEM, AND COUNTY COMMISSIONER JANET ANDERSEN IS GOING TO CHECK IN WITH THE NEW ZONING DIRECTOR AND SEE IF THE PROBLEMS CAN BE RESOLVED.  MR VANWYCK SPOKE, AND SAID ALL HE AND HIS WIFE WANT IS TO LIVE PEACEFULLY IN THEIR COUNTRY HOME, MIND THEIR OWN BUSINESS, AND NOT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT WHO IS DOING THINGS TO THEIR PROPERTY, CLAIMING PART OF THEIR PROPERTY,  PARKING THINGS ON THEIR PROPERTY,  WHILE THEY ARE AWAY FROM THE HOME DURING WORK HOUR,  THIS IS A SYNOPSIS OF WHAT  HAS BEEN GOING ON, AND THEY JUST WANT SOME HELP, TO GET THIS PROBLEM RESOLVED. PEACEFULLY.

COUNTY COMMISSIONER GAVE THE COUNTY REPORT.  SHE TALKED ABOUT THE AMERICAN RESCUE PLAN, BROADBAND, VETERANS OFFICER JOHN COTTON, HE REPLACED JIM WINSEK, SHERIFFS OFFICE IS REQUESTING BODY CAMERAS @ A COST OF $65,000.00.

JEROME MADE A MOTION TO APPROVE PAYMENT OF BILLS.  BOB SECONDED

MOTION CARRIED

ANDREW KMETZ COUNTY TREASURER REPORTED ON THE FORECLOSURE’S IN MASON COUNTY, THERE WERE 13 FORECLOSURES, AND THERE WERE 45 PROPERTY OWNERS THAT HE AND HIS OFFICE HAVE WORKED WITH TO HELP STOP THE FORECLOSURES.    COUNTY COMMISSIONER JANET ANDERSEN, WANTED THE BOARD AND WHO ATTENDED THE MEETING TO KNOW HOW MICH WORK ANDREW HAS BEEN DOING TO HELP THESE PEOPLE BE ABLE TO GET THRU WHAT IS A VERY DIFFICULT TIME FOR SOME PEOPLE.  AND, THAT ANDREW SHOULD HAVE APPRECIATION FOR WHAT HE IS DOING TO HELP THESE PEOPLE.  JIM THANKED ANDREW, AND SAID “GOOD JOB”

TREASURER REPORTED THAT THE MONEY MARKET  FUND BALANCE ON 2/28/21 WAS $181,448.84, RECEIPTS WERE         $81,074.40, INTEREST WAS $34.14, DISBURSEMENTS WERE $13,354.30.  THE BALANCE IS $249,203.08 ON 3/31/21

CHECKING ACCOUNTING BALANCE  REMAINS @$300.00 ON 3/31/21.

PERPETUAL CARE CERTIFICATE BALANCE ON 2/28/21 WAS $62,821.14 AND , REMAINS THE SAME ON 3/31/21

PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT FUND BALANCE ON 2/28/21 WAS $232,007.31 AND, REMAINS THE SAME ON 3/31/21

HALL RESERVATION FUND BALANCE ON 2/28/21 WAS $1,119.42, THERE WERE NO DEPOSITS, NO DISBURSEMENTS,  THE

INTEREST WAS POSTED FOR .5%, LEAVING A BALANCE OF $1,119.47 ON 3/31/21

TAX ACCOUNT BALANCES ON 2-28-21  WAS  $169,621.92  RECEIPTS WERE $1,813.94  DISBURSEMENTS  WERE $171,453.74,       INTEREST WAS $17.88.  LEAVING A BALANCE ON 3/31/21 OF .00

TREASURERS REPORT ACCEPTED AS PRESENTED.

 

CLERK REPORTED THAT SHE NEEDED A MOTION TO APPROVE DOCK PERMIT FOR EDWIN STOUT.  JIM SECONDED
