MEETING WAS CALLED TO ORDER AT 6:05 PM BY SUPERVISOR JIM MAZUR, BOARD MEMBERS PRESENT WERE CLERK BARBARA EGELER, TRUSTEE JEROME PAPES, AND TRUSTEE BOB KESLING, TREASURER PATTI GEERS WAS ABSENT. WE HAD 3 GUEST ATTEND. MINUTES WERE APPROVED AS PRESENTED. SHERIFF’S REPORT WAS GIVEN BY SHERIFF KIM COLE. HAD 22 CALLS IN THE TOWNSHIP FOR JULY, HAD TWO FATAL CRASHES AND TWO DROWNINGS IN THE COUNTY. COUNTY COMMISSIONER JANET ANDERSEN GAVE THE COUNTY REPORT. TONY MYER WITH ASSESSING SOLUTIONS WAS HIRED AS THE EQUALIZATION DIRECTOR, HE IS A LEVEL 4 ASSESSOR. THE COUNTY HAS INCREASED THE VETERANS SERVICE HOURS AS THERE HAS BEEN MUCH NEED IN THAT AREA. STILL WAITING TO HEAR ON THE GRANT THAT WAS APPLIED FOR HAZARD PAY FOR ROAD PATROL AND CORRECTIONS OFFICERS. DURING THIS COVID-19 CRISIS. PLANNING COMMISSION PLAN IS READY TO BE SENT TO LOCAL TOWNSHIPS FOR THEIR REVIEW. AND, THE COUNTY IS WORKING ON A SOLAR ORDINANCE. TREASURERS REPORT WAS READ BY THE CLERK, MONEY MARKET FUND BALANCE WAS $234,844.09 ON 6/30/20. RECEIPTS FOR JULY WERE $18,276.12, INTEREST WAS $54.97, DISBURSEMENTS WERE $29,946.20. LEAVING A BALANCE OF $223,228.98 ON 7/31/20. CHECKING ACCOUNT BALANCE REMAINS AT $300.00 ON 7/31/20. PERPETUAL CARE CERTIFICATE BALANCE REMAINS AT $62,821.14 ON 7/31/20. PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT FUND BALANCE REMAINS AT $231,546.09ON 7/31/20. HALL RESERVATION FUND BALANCE ON 6/30/20 WAS $1,119.00, NO RECEIPTS, THERE WAS A $7.00 DISBURSEMENT, INTEREST WAS .05 CENTS. LEAVING A BALANCE OF $1.112.05 ON 7/31/20. TAX SAVINGS ACCOUNT BALANCE ON 6/30/20 WAS .00. RECEIPTS FOR JULY WERE $112,742.10, DISBURSEMENTS WERE $17,736.71, INTEREST WAS $9.45. LEAVING A BALANCE OF $95,014.84 ON 7/31/20. TREASURERS REPORT ACCEPTED AS PRESENTED JIM REPORTED THAT WE ARE STILL HAVING THE TOWNSHIP CLEANUP, BUT IT WILL BE LIMITED TO ONE REGULAR SIZELOAD. WAYNE ANDERSEN HAMLIN LAKE PRESERVATION SOCIETY, TALKED ABOUT SOME PROJECTS FOR HAMLIN LAKE , ON AUGUST 11th INSTALLING A STREAM FLOW GAGE, GAGES FLOW, CONDUCTIVITY, TEMPERATURE, ETC. ALSO, UNITED STATE GEOOLOGY SURVEY IS DOING A STUDY ON ALGAE BLOOM ON HAMLIN LAKE.

BOB SECONDED MOTION CARRIED TREASURER REPORTED THAT THE MONEY MARKET FUND BALANCE ON 7/31/20 WAS $223,228.98, RECEIPTS FOR AUGUST WERE $2,483.32, INTEREST WAS $47.25, DISBURSEMENTS WERE $42,953.57. LEAVING A BALANCE OF $182,805.98 ON 8/31/20. CHECKING ACCOUNT BALANCE REMAINS AT $300.00 ON 8/31/20. PERPETUAL CARE CERTIFICATE BALANCE REMAINS AT $62,821.14 ON 8/31/20. PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT FUND BALANCE ON 7/31/20 WAS $231,546.09, INTEREST WAS $461.22, LEAVING A BALANCE OF $232,007.31 ON 8/31/20. HALL RESERVATION FUND BALANCE ON 7/31/20 WAS $1,112.10, RECEIPTS WERE $7.00, NO DISBURSEMENTS, INTEREST WAS .05 CENTS. LEAVING A BALANCE $1,119.15. TREASURERS REPORT ACCEPTED AS PRESENTED JIM READ THE TWO PROPOSAL OFFERS FROM ATTORNEY CARLOS ALVARADO REPRESENTING RON & DAWN SARTO, REGARDING VICTORY TOWNSHIP PARK PROPERTY . JEROME MADE A MOTION THAT JIM CONTACT OUR ATTORNEY AND DENY BOTH PROPOSALS. BOB SECONDED MOTION CARRIED JIM MADE A MOTION THAT WE ADD TO OUR FOIA ORDINANCE, “THAT ONCE A FOIA REQUEST HAS BEEN FULFILLED ON THE TOWNSHIP‘S SIDE, THAT THE FOIA REQUESTOR, HAS 30 DAYS TO ANSWER BACK, OR THE TOWNSHIP WILL CONSIDER THE REQUEST DONE. AND, THE REQUESTOR WILL HAVE TO SUBMIT A NEW FOIA REQUEST”. BOB SECONDED MOTION CARRIED JIM REPORTED THAT THE MAJORITY OF THE TOWNSHIPS AND MUNICIPALITIES IN MASON COUNTY , HAS TO NAME A COUNTY DESIGNATED ASSESSOR.
