MEETING WAS CALLED TO ORDER AT 6 PM BY SUPERVISOR JIM MAZUR, ALL BOARD MEMBERS WERE PRESENT: CLERK BARBARA EGLER, TRUSTEE’SBOB KESLING & JEROME PAPES AND TREASURER PATTI GEERS. WE HAD TWELVE GUEST ATTEND. MINUTES WERE APPROVED AS PRESENTED. SHERIFF KIM COLE COULD NOT ATTEND. NO SHERIFF’S REPORT. JEROME MADE A MOTION TO APPROVE PAYMENT OF BILLS. BOB SECONDED MOTION CARRIED TREASURER REPORTED THAT THE MONEY MARKET FUND BALANCE ON 1-31-19 WAS $142,227.27, RECEIPTS FOR FEBRUARY WERE $398.00, DISBURSEMENTS WERE $5,289.94. LEAVING A BALANCE OF $137,335.33 ON 2-28-19. PETTY CASH AND CHECKING ACCOUNT BALANCES REMAIN AT $100.00 AND $200.00 ON 2-28-19. PERPETUAL CARE CERTIFICATE BALANCE REMAINS AT $62,821.14 ON 2-28-19. PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT FUND BALANCE REMAINS AT $127,851.91 ON 2-28-19. HALL RESERVATION FUND BALANCE ON 1-31-19 WAS $1,117.88, RECEIPTS FOR FEBRUARY WERE $100.00, DISBURSEMENTS WERE $100.00, INTEREST WAS .07 CENTS. LEAVING A BALANCE OF $1,117.95 ON 2-28-19. TAX SAVINGS ACCOUNT BALANCE ON 1-31-19 WAS $79,983.45, RECEIPTS FOR FEBRUARY WERE $403,325.94, DISBURSEMENTS WERE $293,851.52, INTEREST WAS $275.22. LEAVING A BALANCE OF $189,733.09 ON 2-28-19. TREASURERS REPORT ACCEPTED AS PRESENTED. JIM REPORTED THAT THIS YEARS COST SHARE WITH THE ROAD COMMISSION WAS $29,196.00. AND, THERE ARE TWO ROAD PROJECTS THAT WERE TO BE CONSIDERED. FIRST ONE, N. VICTORY CORNER ROAD BETWEEN THE TWO BRIDGES, FOR SELECTIVE DITCHING, GRAVEL. FOR $34,713.00 THE SECOND ONE IS PETERSON ROAD 1.02 MILES FOR SELECTIVE DITCHING , GRAVEL. FOR $39,703.00. BARB MADE A MOTION TO APPROVE THE TWO ABOVE ROAD PROJECTS, BOB SECONDED MOTION CARRIED JIM ALSO REPORTED THAT AMBER TOWNSHIP AGREED TO COST SHARE FOR BRINE ON THE SHARED PORTION OF DECKER ROAD. JIM TALKED TO TODD SIEGERT ABOUT CUTTING THE RED PINE AT THE VICTORY BALL PARK ON GORDON ROAD. PATTI MADE A MOTION TO HAVE THE RED PINE CUT AT THE VICTORY BALL PARK. BARB SECONDED MOTION CARRIED CHERYL HOGAN WITH WEST SHORE COLLEGE, CITY OF LUDINGTON ATTORNEY RICHARD WILSON, DON DEVRIES, MATT MATTZELA WITH FLEIS & VANDENBRINK, ALL CAME TO DISCUSS THE CITY OF LUDINGTON WATER LINE PROJECT THAT WILL GO THROUGH VICTORY TOWNSHIP ON STILES ROAD TO WEST SHORE COLLEGE. COUNTY COMMISSIONER JANET ANDERSEN GAVE THE COUNTY REPORT. MOTION TO ADJOURN AT 7:20 PM.

MASON COUNTY EARLY VOTING SITE #2 WILL BE HELD AT: CUSTER TOWNSHIP HALL 1950 E. US HIGHWAY 10 CUSTER, MI 49405 DATE: AUGUST 6, 2024 TIME: 8:00 PM In compliance with MCL 168.720j, you are hereby informed of the details regarding the Precinct Canvas of Early Votes. The Precinct Canvas of Early Votes is the culmination of the 9 days of early voting and is when the board completes the tabulation of ballots and reports the results of the ballots cast during the Early Voting period. |
The Mason County Junk authority is hosting a scrap tire collection day September 28th. Hours will be from 9AM until Noon or until the trailer is filled. Victory Township is part of the Junk Authority and that allows us to participate in this event. They have secured a single semi-trailer this year and once its full the event is over. You are allowed to bring 4 tires for FREE and after that it is $3 per tire. Passenger vehicle tires only, no wheels, commercial, tractor, semi or industrial tires. Event to be held at the Mason County Road commission building in Scottville. There may be help on site but be patient or be prepared to unload your own tires and place them in the trailer.
