MEETING WAS CALLED TO ORDER AT 6:00 PM BY SUPERVISOR JIM MAZUR. BOARD MEMBERS PRESENT WERE CLERK BARB EGELER, TRUSTEE JEROME PAPES, TREASURER PATTI GEERS, TRUSTEE BOB KESLING. WE 35 GUEST ATTEND, WE HELD OUR ANNUAL TOWNSHIP PICNIC AT VICTORY PARK PRIOR TO THE MEETING.
MINUTES WERE APPROVED AS PRESENTED.
SHERIFF’S REPORT WAS GIVEN BY SHERIFF KIM COLE.
BOB MADE A MOTION TO APPROVE PAYMENT OF BILLS. JEROME SECONDED
TREASURER REPORTED THAT THE MONEY MARKET FUND BALANCE ON 7-31-18 WAS $181,985.77, RECEIPTS FOR AUGUST WERE $3,959.83, DISBURSEMENTS WERE $28,155.38. LEAVING A BALANCE OF $157,790.22 ON 8-31-18.
PETTY CASH AND CHECKING ACCOUNT BALANCES REMAIN AT $100.00 AND $200.00 ON 8-31-18.
PERPETUAL CARE CERTIFICATE BALANCE REMAINS AT $62,821.14 ON 8-31-18.
PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT FUND BALANCE REMAINS AT $126,662.80 ON 8-31-18.
HALL RESERVATION FUND BALANCE ON 7-31-18 WAS $1,117.46, RECEIPTS FOR AUGUST WERE $160.00, DISBURSEMENTS WERE $160.00, INTEREST WAS .07 CENTS. LEAVING A BALANCE OF $1,117.53 ON 8-31-18.
TAX SAVINGS ACCOUNT BALANCE ON 7-31-18 WAS $83,957.25, RECEIPTS FOR AUGUST WERE $72,257.44, DISBURSEMENTS WERE $151,391.95. NO INTEREST POSTED AT THIS TIME. LEAVING A BALANCE OF $4,822.74 ON 8-31-18.
TREASURERS REPORT ACCEPTED AS PRESENTED.
CASEY AND SAL WITH PLM LAKE TREATMENT CAME TO THE MEETING TO ANSWER QUESTIONS ON THE TREATMENT OF HAMLIN LAKE FOR THE WEEDS.
BOB OLMSTEAD WITH NORDLUND & ASSOCIATES IS GOING TO WALK THE PARK PROPERTY LINES WITH JIM AND BOB, USING THE LAST TWO SURVEYS. MAKING SURE THE STAKES ARE IN THE RIGHT PLACES.
JANET ANDERSEN COUNTY COMMISSIONER, GAVE THE COUNTY REPORT.
MOTION TO ADJOURN AT 7:10 PM.
I will be mailing out the absentee voter ballots that I have received applications for on 9/21/20,please fill out and return to me via mail or I have a secure drop box on the south end of my back porch. Due to the large volume of ballots, please return them to me as soon as you can. Then I can get them processed into the Qualified Voter File System on the Bureau of elections’ website. DUE TO LIMITED VOLUNTEER HELP AND SAFETY CONCERNS THE TENTATIVELY SCHEDULED VICTORY TOWNSHIP SEPTEMBER FALL CLEAN UP IS CANCELLED UNTIL SPRING 2021.
Due to covid-19 concerns the annual picnic and meeting at Victory Park is cancelled. The regular board meeting will be held at Victory Town hall August 3rd @ 6 pm. Face covering is required.

The water is turned on at both the North & South Victory cemeteries 5/2/2020. The vetern flags will be placed this week 5/3/2020
The dock at the launch site was installed Friday morning 5/1/2020.
Victory Township May 16th 2020 spring clean up has been cancelled and tentatively rescheduled for A fall clean up Sat, Sept. 19th.
SCOTTVILLE — The Mason County Road Commission has announced that seasonal weight and speed restrictions have been lifted as of March 30th 2020
Road projects for 2020;
Ditching of Fisher Rd. from Peterson Rd. west to township line (approx. 1 mile)
Ditching and gravel _Millerton Rd. west of US 31 (approx. 1/4 mile)
Victory Township will be looking into updating our web site in the upcoming future. We will be looking into possible new ADA(American Disability Act) requirements as well as updating pictures,cemetery ordinance,etc. Any thoughts or ideas on what anyone would like to see added are welcome.
