JANUARY 9, 2017
MEETING WAS CALLED TO ORDER AT 6PM BY SUPERVISOR JIM MAZUR. ALL BOARD MEMBERS WERE PRESENT, CLERK BARBARA EGELER, TRUSTEE BOB KESLING, TRUSTEE JEROME PAPES, AND TREASURER PATTI GEERS. WE HAD SIX GUEST ATTEND.
MINUTES WERE APPROVED AS PRESENTED.
BOB MADE A MOTION TO APPROVE PAYMENT OF BILLS, JEROME SECONDED
TREASURERS REPORTED THAT THE MONEY MARKET FUND BALANCE ON 11-30-16 WAS $60,109.96. RECEIPTS FOR DECEMBER WERE $18,986.26, AND DISBURSEMENTS WERE $11,329.89. LEAVING A BALANCE ON 12-31-16 OF $67,766.33.
PETTY CASH AND CHECKING ACCOUNT BALANCES REMAIN AT $100.00 AND $200.00 ON 12-31-16.
PERPETUAL CARE CERTIFICATE BALANCE REMAINS AT $62,821.14 ON 12-31-16.
PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT FUND REMAINS AT $210,055.83 ON 12-31-16.
HALL RESERVATION FUND BALANCE WAS $1,116.43 ON 11-30-16. RECEIPTS FOR DECEMBER WERE $30.00 AND DISBURSEMENTS WERE $30.00. INTEREST WAS .05 CENTS. LEAVING A BALANCE ON 12-31-16 OF $1,116.48.
TAX SAVINGS ACCOUNT BALANCE WAS $7,618.42 ON 11-30-16. TOTAL RECEIPTS FOR DECEMEBER WERE $181,857.50, THE TOTAL DISBURSEMENTS WERE $77,153.74. INTEREST WAS $2.56, LEAVING A BALANCE OF $112,324.74 ON 12-31-16.
TREASURERS REPORT ACCEPTED AS PRESENTED.
SHERIFF KIM COLE IS HERE TO GIVE THE SHERIFF’S REPORT. THERE WERE 20 CALLS IN VICTORY FOR THE MONTY OF DECEMEBER, AND THERE WAS A TOTAL OF 230 FOR THE YEAR. KIM ALSO WANTS PEOPLE TO KNOW ABOUT THE FREE CAR SEAT PROGRAM THEY HAVE AT THE MASON COUNTY JAIL. ANY ONE THAT NEEDS A CAR SEAT FOR THEIR CHILD CAN GO TO THE
SHERIFF’S OFFICE AND TALK TO MARY FULTON AND SHE WILL SHOW YOU HOW TO INSTALL THE SEAT PROPERLY.
COUNTY COMMISSIONER JANET ANDERSEN IS HERE TO GIVE THE COUNTY REPORT.

Victory Township will be looking into updating our web site in the upcoming future. We will be looking into possible new ADA(American Disability Act) requirements as well as updating pictures,cemetery ordinance,etc. Any thoughts or ideas on what anyone would like to see added are welcome. Contact me for your thoughts.

Suzanne S. of Sunset Bluff Resort organized a meeting about nuisance lake vegetation affecting Upper Hamlin Lake. Two biologist from The Little River Band of Ottawa Indians (Allison Smart and Josh Beaulaurier ) were asked to attend . After much discussion Brian Zimmerman(property owner in Hamlin Shoals) suggested a boating channel marked by buoys be established from Hamlin Shoals to the Meyer Road line. The idea is to have concentrated boater traffic through that channel to keep the vegetation in check.
After the meeting Wayne Andersen contacted MDEQ,MDNR,&Mason County Sheriff Marine patrol regarding the proposal. All agencies feel this is a viable solution to establish a navigable boater route. Brian Zimmerman(property owner in Hamlin Shoals)agreed to plot the coordinates of the channel by GPS the weekend of Oct.5-7th.Feel free to provide input to this preliminary proposal.

All meeting are open to public .Please note that no hearings will be held at the Organizational meeting.
The Board of Review will hear appeals on March 19th and March 20st 2018.
