MEETING WAS CALLED TO ORDER AT 6:00 PM BY SUPERVISOR JIM MAZUR, ALL BOARD MEMBERS WERE PRESENT:CLERK BARBARA EGELER, TRUSTEE JEROME PAPES, TREASURER PATTI GEERS, TRUSTEE BOB KESLING. WE HAD TEN GUEST ATTEND.
MINUTES WERE APPROVED AS PRESENTED.
SHERIFF’S REPORT WAS GIVEN BY STEVE HANSEN FROM THE SHERIFF’S OFFICE.
ASSESSOR NANCY VANDERVEST GAVE REPORT ON VICTORY TOWNSHIPS BOARD OF REVIEW MEETINGS.
LIZ REIMINK MASON COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGER IS HERE TO DISCUSS THE MASON COUNTY HAZARDOUS
MITIGATION PLAN. AND, WHY TOWNSHIPS SHOULD ADOPT THE PLAN. FEDERAL FUNDING WOULD BE AVAILABLE FOR THOSE WHO HAVE ADOPTED THE PLAN.
DANI MCGARRY OFFICER MANAGER FROM MASON LAKE CONSEVATION DISTRICT, CAME TO TALK ABOUT WHAT THEIR OFFICE DOES, AND UPCOMING EVENTS. SUCH AS TREE SALES, AND HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE COLLECTION IN AUGUST.

PETTY CASH AND CHECKING ACCOUNT BALANCES REMAIN AT $100.00 AND $200.00 ON 12-31-15.
PERPETUAL CARE CERTIFICATE BALANCE REMAINS AT $62,821.14 ON 12-31-15.
PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT FUND BALANCE REMAINS AT $208,918.87 ON 12-31-15.
HALL RESERVATION FUND BALANCE ON 11-30-15 WAS $1,115.88, RECEIPTS FOR DECEMBER WERE $30.00,
DISBURSEMENTS WERE $30.00, INTEREST WAS .04 CENTS. LEAVING A BALANCE ON 12-31-15 OF $1,115.92.
TAX SAVINGS ACCOUNT BALANCE ON 11-30-15 WAS $9,824.44, RECEIPTS FOR DECEMBER WERE $300,864.06,

BOB MADE A MOTION TO HAVE CYNTHIA OHRLING BECOME AN ALTERNATE BOARD OF REVIEW MEMBER.
BOARD OR REVIEW TRAINING WILL BE HELD IIN FEBRUARY ON THE 12TH FROM 9:00 AM TO 1:00 PM.
BOB MADE A MOTION TO HAVE ALL BOARD OF REVIEW MEMBERS, PLUS ALTERNATES AND SUPERVISOR GO TO THE
TRAINING. THE COST IS $15.00 EACH. JEROME SECONDED

BOB MADE A MOTION TO PASS A RESOLUTION TO PROVIDE LOCAL RESIDENTS TO APPEAL IN WRITING TO THE MARCH BOARD OF REVIEW IN VICTORY TOWNSHIP. ALSO, WILL ALLOW NON-RESIDENTS TO APPEAL TO THE MARCH BOARD OF REVIEW IN WRITING IF THEY CHOOSE. JEROME SECONDED

ADDITIONAL ASSETS SHALL NOT EXCEED 1 1/2 TIMES THE ANNUAL HOUSEHOLD INCOME OF THE APPLICANT. BOB SECONDED

MASON COUNTY EARLY VOTING SITE #2 WILL BE HELD AT: CUSTER TOWNSHIP HALL 1950 E. US HIGHWAY 10 CUSTER, MI 49405 DATE: AUGUST 6, 2024 TIME: 8:00 PM In compliance with MCL 168.720j, you are hereby informed of the details regarding the Precinct Canvas of Early Votes. The Precinct Canvas of Early Votes is the culmination of the 9 days of early voting and is when the board completes the tabulation of ballots and reports the results of the ballots cast during the Early Voting period. |
The Mason County Junk authority is hosting a scrap tire collection day September 28th. Hours will be from 9AM until Noon or until the trailer is filled. Victory Township is part of the Junk Authority and that allows us to participate in this event. They have secured a single semi-trailer this year and once its full the event is over. You are allowed to bring 4 tires for FREE and after that it is $3 per tire. Passenger vehicle tires only, no wheels, commercial, tractor, semi or industrial tires. Event to be held at the Mason County Road commission building in Scottville. There may be help on site but be patient or be prepared to unload your own tires and place them in the trailer.
