MEETING WAS CALLED TO ORDER AT 6 PM BY SUPERVISOR JIM MAZUR. ALL BOARD MEMBERS WERE PRESENT:EGELER,
KESLING, PAPES, GEERS. WE HAD TEN GUEST ATTEND.
MINUTES WERE APPROVED AS PRESENTED. (DECEMBER MINUTES) (JANUARY MEETING WAS CANCELLED)
SHERIFF’S REPORT WAS GIVEN BY SHERIFF KIM COLE.
WAYNE SCHOONOVER NEW MASON COUNTY ROAD ENGINEER, INTRODUCED HIMSELF TO THE TOWNSHIP BOARD AND
THE PUBLIC. HE GAVE REPORT ON THE ROADS, AND HOW THEY MAKE DECISIONS ON PRIORITY ROADS.

HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE HAS ASKED FOR THE TOWNSHIP TO CONTINUE TO SUPPORT THE 7TH ANNUAL CLEANUP. THE TOWNSHIPS SHARE WILL BE $450.00.

ELECTION WORKERS FOR THE UP COMING SCHOOL ELECTION ON FEBRUARY 25, 2014 WILL BE MARYANN ANDERSEN, JEAN STERLEY, AND CLERK BARB EGELER.
BOARD OF REVIEW TRAINING WILL BE OFFERED IN LUDINGTON THIS YEAR, ON THE 28TH OF FEBRUARY AT 9AM.

SINCE PATTI HAD TO LEAVE THE SALARY RESOLUTION WILL BE MOVED TO MARCH’S AGENDA.
COUNTY COMMISSIONER JANET ANDERSEN GAVE THE COUNTY REPORT.

Victory Township will be looking into updating our web site in the upcoming future. We will be looking into possible new ADA(American Disability Act) requirements as well as updating pictures,cemetery ordinance,etc. Any thoughts or ideas on what anyone would like to see added are welcome. Contact me for your thoughts.

Suzanne S. of Sunset Bluff Resort organized a meeting about nuisance lake vegetation affecting Upper Hamlin Lake. Two biologist from The Little River Band of Ottawa Indians (Allison Smart and Josh Beaulaurier ) were asked to attend . After much discussion Brian Zimmerman(property owner in Hamlin Shoals) suggested a boating channel marked by buoys be established from Hamlin Shoals to the Meyer Road line. The idea is to have concentrated boater traffic through that channel to keep the vegetation in check.
After the meeting Wayne Andersen contacted MDEQ,MDNR,&Mason County Sheriff Marine patrol regarding the proposal. All agencies feel this is a viable solution to establish a navigable boater route. Brian Zimmerman(property owner in Hamlin Shoals)agreed to plot the coordinates of the channel by GPS the weekend of Oct.5-7th.Feel free to provide input to this preliminary proposal.

All meeting are open to public .Please note that no hearings will be held at the Organizational meeting.
The Board of Review will hear appeals on March 19th and March 20st 2018.
