MEETING WAS CALLED TO ORDER AT 7:00 PM BY SUPERVISOR RUSSELL ANDERSEN. BOARD MEMBERS PRESENT WERE CLERK BARB EGELER, TRUSTEE JIM MAZUR, TRUSTEE JEROME PAPES AND TREASURER PATTI GEERS. WE HAD EIGHT GUEST ATTEND.
MINUTES FROM JUNE WERE APPROVED AS PRESENTED.
THERE WAS NO SHERIFF’S REPORT.
JEROME MADE A MOTION TO APPROVE PAYMENT OF THE JUNE BILLS IN THE AMOUNT OF $15,618.32. JIM SECONDED
TREASURER REPORTED THAT THE MONEY MARKET FUND BALANCE ON 5-31-11 WAS $262,298.42. RECEIPTS FOR JUNE WERE $4,118.70. DISBURSEMENTS WERE $15,618.32. LEAVING
A BALANCE ON 6-30-11 OF $250,798.80. CHECKING ACCOUNT BALANCE REMAINS AT $200.00 ON 6-30-11. PETTY CASH ACCOUNT BALANCE REMAINS AT $100.00 ON 6-30-11. PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT FUND BALANCE REMAINS AT $241,090.54 ON 6-30-11. PERPETUAL CARE CERTIFICATE BALANCE REMAINS AT $62,821.14 ON 6-30-11. VICTORY TOWNHALL RESERVATION FUND BALANCE ON 5-31-11 WAS $1,110.23. TOTAL RECEIPTS FOR JUNE WERE $30.00, TOTAL DISBURSEMENTS WERE $30.00, INTEREST WAS .23 CENTS. LEAVING A BALANCE OF $1,110.46 ON 6-30-11. TREASURERS REPORT ACCEPTED AS PRESENTED.
RUSSELL REPORTED THAT BOARD OF REVIEW WILL BE JULY 19TH. ALSO, THAT GROTH ROAD RECEIVED GRAVEL.
JIM REPORTED ON THE ORV ORDINANCE. HE HAS TALKED TO GARY DITTMER AT THE ROAD COMMISSION, AND, ALSO THE ATTORNEY DAVID GLANCY. HE STILL NEEDS TO TALK TO THE SHERIFF TO SEE WHAT WE NEED TO GO AHEAD WITH THE TOWNSHIP ORDINANCE. ONCE HE HAS TALKED TO ALL PARTIES, WE WILL HAVE TO HOLD A PUBLIC HEARING TO ADOPT THE ORV ORDINANCE.
DR. SQUIRES IS HERE TO GIVE THE COUNTY REPORT.
SUSAN HOEKSTRA WANTED IT IN THE MINUTES THAT SHE BROUGHT IN PICTURES OF A WASH OUT ON NORTH DENNIS ROAD. (THIS IS THE FOURTH WASH OUT SINCE THE STORMS OF JUNE 2008)
THE BOARD WAS ALSO ASKED IF THE TOWNSHIP WAS GOING TO HAVE A SECOND BRINING. RUSSELL SAID IF NEEDED WE WOULD HAVE ONE.
TOM COLEMAN WENT OVER THE TOWNSHIPS CEMETERY GROUNDS MAINTENANCE CONTRACT, AND ORDINANCE. AND, MADE SOME REVISIONS HE THOUGHT THE TOWNSHIP SHOULD CONSIDER. HE ALSO MADE A CONTRACT FOR OUR SEXTON, BUT OUR SEXTON IS AN EMPLOYEE OF THE TOWNSHIP.

Will be taking a road tour with the road commission to determine 2020 rd. projects-residents are welcome to notify the township board of ideas or trouble spots
The recent scrap tire pick-up day by the Mason County Junk Authority held in Sept. accumulated 969 tires with Victory Township residents bringing in 325 tires.
Victory Township will be looking into updating our web site in the upcoming future. We will be looking into possible new ADA(American Disability Act) requirements as well as updating pictures,cemetery ordinance,etc. Any thoughts or ideas on what anyone would like to see added are welcome. Contact me for your thoughts.

The Board of Review will hear appeals on March 12th 9am – noon and 1pm-4pm. & March 14th 2pm-5pm and 6pm-9pm
