- The meeting was called to order at 6:00 pm by Supervisor Bob Kesling. Board members present were Clerk Sarah Grabowski, Treasurer Patti Geers, Trustee Jerome Papes, Trustee Wayne Andersen. There were 9 guests in attendance.
- A motion was made by Andersen with support from Papes to approve the December minutes as presented. Motion Carried.
- A motion was made by Andersen with support from Papes to approve the payment of December bills as presented totaling $15,956.39. Motion carried. See attachment 1.
- Sheriff Cole gave Township report.
- Commissioner Andersen gave commissioners report.
- Assessor Vandervest Presented the board with proposed resolutions for Poverty Exemption and Asset Test. The Board of Review will meet March 3, 2026, at 2:30pm – Organizational Meeting
- March 9th and 13th, 2026 from 1:30pm – 7:30pm
- Treasurer asked for permission to close the hall fund at West Shore Bank, the fund has not been used, a yearly transaction has to take place to keep it from being dormant. A motion was made by Kesling with support from Andersen to close the account. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Andersen with support from Papes to accept the treasurer report as presented. Motion carried. See attachment 2.
- Clerk – Consumers Energy emailed back with a response that the streetlight we pay for is at US31 and Fountain Rd.
- Supervisor – PM Surveying completed Survey to split the property around the hall that Gary D’Allesandro currently owns.
Stickers for new drop box have arrived, no word on actual drop box.
- Trustee Papes – Marker posts on the North side of the hall have broken off over the winter.
- Wondering if snow could be moved in the South parking lot as there are couple of bigger parties at the hall coming up.
- Trustee Andersen – Wondering about getting posts installed on the dirt portion of Fountain Road over a deep gully to mark the edge of the road.
Guest concerned about lack of guardrail at Dewey and Victory Drive.
Fred, concerned about the safety of the Peterson Rd and Fisher Road intersections cannot see cars coming from the West. A possibility for a four way stop in the future. Culvert washing out by his brothers.
- Motion to adjourn to closed session at 6:27pm by Andersen with support from Papes.
- Motion to adjourn meeting at 7:05pm by Andersen with support from Papes.
