April 2026
- The meeting was called to order at 6:00pm by Supervisor Bob Kesling. Board members present were Clerk Sarah Grabowski, Treasurer Patti Geers, Trustee Wayne Andersen, and Trustee Jerome Papes. There were 8 guests in attendance.
- A motion was made by Geers with support from Andersen to approve the February minutes as presented. Motion Carried.
- A motion was made by Papes with support from Andersen to approve the payment of March bills as adjusted totaling $11,680.65. Motion carried. Adjustments were made to Andersen and Papes paychecks they were paid for 5 meetings should have been 3 and 5 meetings respectively See Attachment 1.
- A motion was made by Kesling with support from Andersen to approve the Treasurers report. Motion carried. Amended version to reflect changes in above paychecks. See Attachment 2.
- The Clerk reported election May 5th for West Shore Community College millage.
- Supervisor Report Township cleanup day May 16th. A letter from Cove was received asking for a donation, the township is not able to donate. An Invoice and request for a donation was received from Household Hazardous Waste. A motion was made by Andersen with support from Papes to donate $750.00. Motion carried.
Townline Road will be closed for two to three weeks beginning April 8, 2026, to prepare the road for paving.
- Trustee Andersen Made a motion with support from Geers to limit public comments to 3 minutes unless granted longer. Motion carried with Papes being a nay.
- Trustee Papes reported there has not been any water in the basement.
- Assessor Vandervest gave update on board of review and Assessments.
- Public comment about property taxes on the rise, junk authority going to start enforcing rules on some of the places that need to be cleaned up, and how to get Road Commission to fix a private road.
- Kesling made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 6:39pm seconded by Papes. Motion Carried.
