REGULAR BOARD MEETING

DECEMBER 6, 2021

MEETING WAS CALLED TO ORDER AT 6 PM BY SUPERVISOR JIM MAZUR, BOARD MEMBERS PRESENT WERE CLERK BARB   EGELER, TRUSTEE JEROME PAPES, TRUSTEE BOB KESLING, AND TREASURER PATTI GEERS, WE HAD SIX GUEST ATTEND.

MINUTES WERE APPROVED AS PRESENTED.

SHERIFF’S REPORT GIVEN BY SHERIFF KIM COLE.

COUNTY REPORT GIVEN BY COUNTY COMMISSIONER JANET ANDERSEN.

DALE GOODRICH WITH RURAL FIRE AUTHORITY, CAME AND DISCUSSED MONEY ISSUES THAT THE AUTHORITY IS HAVING  WITH KEEPING UP WITH MANDATES FOR EQUIPMENT TO TRUCKS, TO BUILDING NEEDS, TO WAGES, ETC.

JEROME MADE A MOTION TO PAY BILLS, INCLUDING A DECEMBER BILL FOR THE GRADING AND ROAD IMPROVING AT VICTORY PARK GOING UP TO THE VETERANS MONUMENT.  BOB SECONDED

MOTION CARRIED

BARB MADE A MOTION THAT WE PAY THE NORMAL MONTHLY BILLS, IF WARRANTED, IN THE CASE OF A LATE MEETING OR WHEN THE MEETING HAS TO BE CANCELED DUE TO BAD WEATHER, ETC.  CAUSING LATE FEES BEING ISSUED.  JIM SECONDED

TREASURER REPORTED THAT THE MONEY MARKET FUND BALANCE ON 10/31/21 WAS $248,939.05,  RECEIPTS FOR       NOVEMBER WERE $74,796.00 ( OF WHICH $73,896.00 WERE ARPA FUNDS) INTEREST WAS $32.77, DISBURSEMENTS WERE             $8,953.98.  LEAVING A FUND BALANCE OF $314,813.84 ON 11/30/21.

CHECKING ACCOUNT BALANCE REMAINS AT $300.00 ON 11/30/21.

PERPETUAL CARE CERTIFICATE BALANCE REMAINS AT $62,821.14 ON 11/30/21.

PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT FUND BALANCE REMAINS AT $232,07.31 ON 11/30/21.

HALL RESERVATION FUND BALANCE ON 10/31/21 WAS $1,119.80, NO RECEIPTS, NO DISBURSEMENTS, INTEREST WAS .04  cents,  LEAVING A BALANCE OF $1,119.84 ON 11/30/21.

TAX ACCOUNT BALANCE ON 10/31/21 WAS $12,418.55, RECEIPTS FOR NOVEMBER WERE $1,775.72, DISBURSEMENTS WERE $5,090.44, NO INTEREST REPORTED AT THIS TIME.  LEAVING A BALANCE OF $9,103.83 ON 11/30/21.

TREASURERS REPORT ACCEPTED AS PRESENTED.

SUPERVISOR REPORTED HE IS TALKING TO THE ROAD COMMISSION ABOUT UPCOMING POSSIBLE ROAD PROJECTS.

AFTER HAVING A PUBLIC HEARING BEFORE OUR REGULAR BOARD MEETING IN NOVEMBER, AND ASKING THE PUBLIC TO COMMENT ON SELLING THE TOWNSHIP PROPERTY LOCATED ON GROTH AND ANDERSON ROAD,  WE HAD NO ONE OPPOSE THE IDEA.  A MOTION TO SELL THE SAID PROPERTY WAS ASKED FOR.

PROPERTY DESCRIPTION :

SW 1/4 NE 1/4 EXCEPT A STRIP OF LAND 330 FEET WIDE ACROSS SW 1/4 NE 1/4, DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS:

COMMENCING AT THE E 1/4 CORNER OF SAID SECTION, TH N 89d23’05” W ALONG THE E-W 1/4 LINE OF SAID SECTION          1,663.43 FT TO THE PLACE OF BEGINNING FOR THIS DESCRIPTION, TH CONTINUING N 89d23’05” W ALONG SAID 1/4  LINE  495.87 FT TO A POINT, TH N 48d53’40” E A DISTANCE OF 1,105.19 FT TO THE E 1/8 LINE OF SAID SECTION, TH S 00d42’37” E ALONG SAID 1/8 LINE 433.30 FT TO A POINT, TH S 48d53’40” W A DISTANCE OF 454.65 FT TO THE PLACE OF BEGINNING.

JIM MADE A MOTION TO SELL THE TOWNSHIP PROPERTY LOCATED ON GROTH & ANDERSON ROADS, IN TWO SEPARATE PARCELS.   BOB SECONDED

JEROME MADE A MOTION TO HAVE TRUSTEE BOB KESLING BE THE CONTACT AND WILL WORK WITH A REAL ESTATE AGENT IN THE SELLING OF SAID PROPERTY.  JIM SECONDED

MOTION CARRIED

JIM MADE A MOTION TO GO INTO CLOSED SESSION, SO THE BOARD COULD SET PRICING AND CONTRACT TERMS FOR THE SALE OF THE PROPERTY.  BARB SECONDED

MOTION CARRIED
