AUGUST 7, 2017
MEETING WAS CALLED TO ORDER AT 6:10 PM BY SUPERVISOR JIM MAZUR. THE MEETING FOLLOWED OUR ANNUAL TOWNSHIP PICNIC HELD AT VICTORY PARK. BOARD MEMBERS PRESENT WERE CLERK BARBARA EGELER, TRUSTEE JEROME PAPES, TRUSTEE BOB KESLING, TREASURER PATTI GEERS WAS ABSENT. WE HAD 36 GUEST ATTEND. WE ALSO CELEBRATED 100 YEARS OF THE PARK BEING IN THE TOWNSHIP. THE PARK PROPERTY WAS DONATED FROM THE CARTIER FAMILY.
MINUTES WERE APPROVED AS PRESENTED.
SHERIFF’S REPORT WAS GIVEN BY SHERIFF KIM COLE.
BOB MADE A MOTION TO APPROVE PAYMENT OF BILLS, JEROME SECONDED.
CLERK READ THE TREASURERS REPORT. MONEY MARKET FUND BALANCE ON 6-30-17 WAS $127,376.36, RECEIPTS FOR JULY WERE $19,143.02, DISBURSEMENTS WERE $43,218.34, LEAVING A BALANCE OF $103,301.04 ON 7-31-17.
PETTY CASH AND CHECKING ACCOUNT BALANCES REMAIN AT $100.00 AND $200.00 ON 7-31-17.
PERPETUAL CARE CERTIFICATE BALANCE REMAINS AT $62,821.14 ON 7-31-17.
PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT FUND BALANCE REMAINS AT $210,855.87 ON 7-31-17.
HALL RESERVATION FUND BALANCE ON 6-30-17 WAS $1,116.77, RECEIPTS FOR JULY WERE $190.00, DISBURSEMENTS WERE $190.00, INTEREST WAS .04 CENTS. LEAVING A BALANCE OF $1,116.81 ON 7-31-17.
TAX SAVINGS ACCOUNT BALANCE ON 6-30-17 WAS .00, RECEIPTS FOR JULU WERE $75,440.02, DISBURSEMENTS WERE $15,984.14, THERE WAS NO INTEREST REPORTED AT THIS TIME. LEAVING A BALANCE OF $59,455.88 ON 7-31-17.
TREASURERS REPORT ACCEPTED AS PRESENTED.
WAYNE ANDERSEN GAVE A PRESENTATION ON HAMLIN LAKE, HE IS THE PRESIDENT OF THE HAMLIN LAKE PRESERVATION SOCIETY.
RAY FRANZ CAME TO ANNOUNCE THAT HE IS RUNNING FOR THE 35TH SEAT IN 2018.
COUNTY COMMISSIONER JANET ANDERSEN GAVE THE COUNTY REPORT. JIM THANKED JANET, FOR ALL SHE DOES FOR THE TOWNSHIPS ANNUAL PICNIC.
MOTION TO ADJOURN AT 7:05 PM.
Will be taking a road tour with the road commission to determine 2020 rd. projects-residents are welcome to notify the township board of ideas or trouble spots
The recent scrap tire pick-up day by the Mason County Junk Authority held in Sept. accumulated 969 tires with Victory Township residents bringing in 325 tires.
Victory Township will be looking into updating our web site in the upcoming future. We will be looking into possible new ADA(American Disability Act) requirements as well as updating pictures,cemetery ordinance,etc. Any thoughts or ideas on what anyone would like to see added are welcome. Contact me for your thoughts.

All meeting are open to public .Please note that no hearings will be held at the Organizational meeting.(March 5th 2019)
The Board of Review will hear appeals on March 12th 9am – noon and 1pm-4pm. & March 14th 2pm-5pm and 6pm-9pm
