REGULAR BOARD MEETING
NOVEMBER 4, 2013
MEETING WAS CALLED TO ORDER AT 6 PM BY SUPERVISOR JIM MAZUR, ALL BOARD MEMBERS WERE PRESENT: GEERS,
EGELER, KESLING AND PAPES. WE HAD TEN GUEST ATTEND.
MINUTES WERE APPROVED AS PRESENTED.
PAUL OLSON, OUR INSURANCE AGENT WITH MUNICIPAL UNDERWRITERS, CAME TO THE MEETING TO TALK WITH THE
BOARD AND SEE IF THERE WERE ANY QUESTIONS ABOUT OUR COVERAGE.
SHERIFF KIM COLE GAVE THE SHERIFFS REPORT.
THE TREASURER REPROTED THAT THE MONEY MARKET FUND BALANCE ON 9-30-13 WAS $224,184.65. THE RECEIPTS FOR
OCTOBER WERE $22,854.15. DISBURSEMENTS WERE $69,849.45. LEAVING A BALANCE OF $177,189.35 ON 10-31-13.
PETTY CASH AND CHECKING ACCOUNT BALANCE REMAIN THE SAME ON 10-31-13 OF $100.00 AND $200.00.
PERPETUAL CARE CERTIFICATE BALANCE REMAINS THE SAME ON 10-31-13 OF $62,821.14.
PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT FUND BALANCE ON 9-30-13 WAS 246,551.85. WE HAD A CD MATURE ($476.42) AND, A CD MATURED FOR ($1,248.11) LEAVING A NEW BALANCE ON 10-31-13 OF $248,276.38.
VICTORY TOWNHALL RESERVATION FUND BALANCE ON 9-30-13 WAS $1144.60. THERE WAS NO RECEIPTS, AND NO DISBURSEMENTS FOR OCTOBER. INTEREST WAS FIVE CENTS. LEAVING A BALANCE ON 10-31-13 OF $1144.65.
VICTORY TAX SAVINGS ACCOUNT BALANCE ON 9-30-13 WAS $9986.44, DEPOSITS FOR OCTOBER WERE $5824.44, DISBURSEMENTS WERE $7139.76. NO INTEREST AT THIS TIME. LEAVING A BALANCE ON 10-31-13 OF $8671.12.
TREASURERS REPORT ACCEPTED AS PRESENTED.
JEROME MADE A MOTION TO LET THE LUDINGTON CHAMBER USE THE PARK FOR THE FISHING TOURNAMENT BEING HELD ON JAN. 31 THRU FEB. 1. BOB SECONDED
VICTORY TOWNSHIP WILL BE HOSTING THE TOWNSHIP OFFICERS MEETING IN JANUARY.
COUNTY COMMISSIONER JANET ANDERSEN GAVE COUNTY REPORT. COUNTY PASSED THE RESOLUTION FOR FLOOD
PLAIN FOR EDEN, SHERIDAN, SHERMAN. REPORTED THAT LOWE’S DONATED LABOR AND SUPPLIES FOR TALLMAN SENIOR CENTER.
FRANK REDMOND OF VICTORY TOWNSHIP WILL BE SERVING ON THE PLANNING COMMISSION.
MOTION TO ADJOURN AT 7:29 PM.
Will be taking a road tour with the road commission to determine 2020 rd. projects-residents are welcome to notify the township board of ideas or trouble spots
The recent scrap tire pick-up day by the Mason County Junk Authority held in Sept. accumulated 969 tires with Victory Township residents bringing in 325 tires.
Victory Township will be looking into updating our web site in the upcoming future. We will be looking into possible new ADA(American Disability Act) requirements as well as updating pictures,cemetery ordinance,etc. Any thoughts or ideas on what anyone would like to see added are welcome. Contact me for your thoughts.

All meeting are open to public .Please note that no hearings will be held at the Organizational meeting.(March 5th 2019)
The Board of Review will hear appeals on March 12th 9am – noon and 1pm-4pm. & March 14th 2pm-5pm and 6pm-9pm
