MEETING WAS CALLED TO ORDER AT 7:00 PM BY SUPERVISOR RUSSELL ANDERSEN.
ALL BOARD MEMBERS WERE PRESENT: CLERK BARBARA EGELER, TRUSTEE JIM MAZUR,
TRUSTEE JEROME PAPES AND TREASURER PATTI GEERS. WE HAD EIGHT GUEST ATTEND.
MINUTES FROM DECEMBER WERE APPROVED AS PRESENTED.
SHERIFFS REPORT WAS GIVEN BY SHERIFF JEFF FIERS.
JEROME MADE A MOTION TO APPROVE PAYMENT OF BILLS IN THE AMOUNT OF
$8347.66. JIM SECONDED
TREASURER REPORTED THAT THE MONEY MARKET FUND BALANCE ON 11-30-11 WAS
$180,310.86. RECEIPTS FOR DECEMBER WERE $20,371.22, ALSO RECEIPTED BACK IN A VOIDED
CHECK #7226 FOR $815.99. DISBURSEMENTS WERE $8347.66. LEAVING A BALANCE ON 12-31-11 OF $193,150.41.
PETTY CASH BALANCE REMAINS AT $100.00 ON 12-31-11.

TREASURERS REPORT ACCEPTED AS PRESENTED.
CHOSE PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION INSPECTORS FOR FEBRUARY: BARB EGELER, MARIAN BATES, MARYANN ANDERSEN, BARBARA STERLEY.
MOTION WAS MADE BY JIM AND SECONDED BY JEROME FOR OUR BOARD OF REVIEW MEMBERS TO ATTEND A BOARD OF REVIEW SCHOOL IN OCEANA COUNTY.
WAYNE ANDERSEN GAVE HIS REPORT ON VICTORY PARK. HE SAID HE WOULD LIKE TO GET PERMITS AND CONSTRUCTION DRAWINGS FOR BOAT LAUNCH. THE COST WOULD BE AROUND $4000.00, OF WHICH HE WOULD LIKE $2000.00 OF HIS DONATION TO GO TOWARDS THIS PERMIT. AND, THAT HE HAD TALKED TO THE FIN AND FEATHER CLUB AND THEY WOULD ALSO LIKE TO DONATE $500.00, AS WOULD HAMLIN LAKE PRESERVATION SOCIETY. WHICH BRINGS THE TOTAL OF DONATIONS UP TO $3000.00, LEAVING THE TOWNSHIP TO COVER THE LAST $1000.00. HE ALSO SAID THAT HE WOULD LIKE TO HAVE SOME SIGNS PUT UP SAYING WELCOME TO VICTORY PARK. (WHICH HE WOULD LIKE TO DESIGNATE THE OTHER $500.00 HE DONATED TO GO TOWARDS THE SIGNS.) ONE SIGN ON THE PAVILION, AND THE OTHER FACING THE LAKE SO THAT WHEN PEOPLE IN BOATS GO PAST THEY KNOW THAT THIS IS VICTORY PARK. WAYNE ALSO TALKED ABOUT GRANTS, AND THE TRAILS, AND OTHER PEOPLE HE HAS TALKED TO THAT WOULD LIKE TO HELP OUT.

Victory Township will be looking into updating our web site in the upcoming future. We will be looking into possible new ADA(American Disability Act) requirements as well as updating pictures,cemetery ordinance,etc. Any thoughts or ideas on what anyone would like to see added are welcome. Contact me for your thoughts.

Suzanne S. of Sunset Bluff Resort organized a meeting about nuisance lake vegetation affecting Upper Hamlin Lake. Two biologist from The Little River Band of Ottawa Indians (Allison Smart and Josh Beaulaurier ) were asked to attend . After much discussion Brian Zimmerman(property owner in Hamlin Shoals) suggested a boating channel marked by buoys be established from Hamlin Shoals to the Meyer Road line. The idea is to have concentrated boater traffic through that channel to keep the vegetation in check.
After the meeting Wayne Andersen contacted MDEQ,MDNR,&Mason County Sheriff Marine patrol regarding the proposal. All agencies feel this is a viable solution to establish a navigable boater route. Brian Zimmerman(property owner in Hamlin Shoals)agreed to plot the coordinates of the channel by GPS the weekend of Oct.5-7th.Feel free to provide input to this preliminary proposal.

All meeting are open to public .Please note that no hearings will be held at the Organizational meeting.
The Board of Review will hear appeals on March 19th and March 20st 2018.
