MEETING WAS CALLED TO ORDER AT 7:00 PM BY SUPERVISOR RUSSELL ANDERSEN.. BOARD MEMBERS PRESENT WERE: TRUSTEE JIM MAZUR, CLERK BARB EGELER, TREASURER PATTI GEERS AND TRUSTEE JEROME PAPES. WE HAD TWENTY-TWO GUEST ATTEND.
MINUTES FROM FEBRUARY MEETING WERE APPROVED AS PRESENTED..
JEROME MADE A MOTION TO APPROVE PAYMENT OF BILLS IN THE AMOUNT OF $9178.25.
TREASURER REPORTED THAT THE MONEY MARKET FUND BALANCE ON 1-31-11 WAS $235,769.79. RECEIPTS FOR FEBRUARY WERE $856.02. DISBURSEMENTS WERE $9178.25. LEAVING A BALANCE ON 2-28-11 OF $227,447.56. CHECKING ACCOUNT BALANCE REMAINS THE SAME ON 2-28-11 OF $200.00. PETTY CASH BALANCE REMAINS AT $100.00 ON 2-28-11. PERPETUAL CARE CERTIFICATE BALANCE REMAINS AT $62,821.14 ON 2-28-11. PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT FUND BALANCE REMAINS AT $201,090.54 ON 2-28-11. VICTORY TOWNSHIP HALL RESERVATION FUND BALANCE ON 1-31-11 WAS $1109.31.. RECEIPTS FOR FEBRUARY WERE $100.00. DISBURSEMENTS WERE $100.00. INTEREST WAS .21 CENTS. LEAVING A BALANCE ON 2-28-11 OF $1109.52. VICTORY TAX SAVINGS ACCOUNT BALANCE ON 1-31-11 WAS $138,596.99. TOTAL DEPOSITS FOR FEBRUARY WERE $347,694.19. TOTAL DISBURSEMENTS WERE $255,353.50. NO INTEREST REPORTED AT THIS TIME.. LEAVING A BALANCE ON 2-28-11 OF $230,937.68. TREASURERS REPORT ACCEPTED AS PRESENTED.
JEROME MADE A MOTION TO ACCEPT WRITTEN STATEMENTS AT BOARD OF REVIEW.
SHERIFF JEFF FIERS IS HERE TO GIVE TOWNSHIP AND COUNTY REPORT. ALSO, NOTED THAT THE SHERIFFS OFFICE IS IMPLEMENTING YELLOW JUGS/OLD DRUGS.. DROP OFF FOR OLD PRESCRIPTION DRUGS, THIS GIVES PEOPLE A WAY TO DISPOSE OF CORRECTLY, OLD PRESCRIPTIONS DRUGS.
CARY SHINELDECKER FROM RIVERTON TOWNSHIP CAME TO THE MEETING TO TALK ABOUT THE PROPOSED WIND FARM, FOR RIVERTON AND SUMMIT TOWNSHIPS. HE HAS SPENT A GREAT DEAL OF TIME DIGGING UP DATA ON THE EFFECTS OF THE WIND TURBINES. AND, HOW THEY WILL EFFECT PEOPLES HEALTH, THEIR HOMES, ETC. HE READ SOME REPORTS FROM EXPERTS ON THE NOISE LEVELS. HOW HIGH OR LOW SHOULD THE DECIBELS BE? HOW FAR SHOULD THE SETBACKS BE? WHAT SHOULD PEOPLE HAVE TO PAY TO FILE A COMPLAINT? THESE ARE VERY IMPORTANT QUESTIONS THAT SHOULD BE CONSIDERED, AND PUT BEFORE THE MASON COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION.
JIM MADE A MOTION THAT A LETTER BE DRAFTED, AND GIVEN TO THE PLANNING COMMISSION IN RESPECT TO THE WIND TURBINES. LETTING THEM KNOW OF OUR TOWNSHIP BOARDS CONCERN ABOUT THE SETBACKS, DECIBELS, FILING COMPLAINTS ETC. SUPPORTING OUR CONCERN FOR THE HEALTH, SAFETY AND WELL BEING OF OUR TOWNSHIP AND COUNTY RESIDENTS.

Will be taking a road tour with the road commission to determine 2020 rd. projects-residents are welcome to notify the township board of ideas or trouble spots
The recent scrap tire pick-up day by the Mason County Junk Authority held in Sept. accumulated 969 tires with Victory Township residents bringing in 325 tires.
Victory Township will be looking into updating our web site in the upcoming future. We will be looking into possible new ADA(American Disability Act) requirements as well as updating pictures,cemetery ordinance,etc. Any thoughts or ideas on what anyone would like to see added are welcome. Contact me for your thoughts.

All meeting are open to public .Please note that no hearings will be held at the Organizational meeting.(March 5th 2019)
The Board of Review will hear appeals on March 12th 9am – noon and 1pm-4pm. & March 14th 2pm-5pm and 6pm-9pm
